NORMAN – Gallery 123’s holiday event, One Peace At A Time, will be on designated days in November and December. On those days, the gallery will donate 10% of all sales to Food and Shelter for Friends.
In November, special treats for visitors will feature all things chocolate, luscious confections and pastries and rich hot chocolate. One Peace At A Time begins on Friday, November 12 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. in conjunction with Norman’s Second Friday Circuit of the Arts. The extended Saturday hours will be from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. We invite you to come up and help us eat all those delectable chocolate treats. Gallery 123 is located on the second floor, above Forward Foods, at 123 E. Main St.
The artists in Gallery 123 believe that peace begins at home, one step at a time. Recognizing that local support of a thriving arts community is an essential characteristic of a vibrant city, they hope everyone will join them in supporting local arts, buying local goods and produce, and giving back to the community. One goal of the Gallery 123 artists is to have an annual community-wide event during the holidays when the spirit of giving supports us all.
Gallery 123 is a cooperative of local artists and offers a wide variety of arts with an even wider range of prices. In addition to sculpture, painting, and photography, the gallery has jewelry from three talented artisans, concrete vessels, one-of-a-kind furniture and decorative pieces, as well as quilts, felted bags and accessories, and other fiber arts.
Take advantage of this opportunity not only to find unique holiday gifts but also to reach those in the community who need our support. The gallery’s selections make it possible for everyone to find something special and in the process know that 10% of what they spend will go to Food and Shelter for Friends.
