“I Thought He Was Dead” Opening Reception Scheduled
By Tourism Industry Partner
Event: “I Thought He Was Dead” Opening Reception
Dates: October 7, 2011, 6-10pm
The Paseo Art Space will host "I Thought He Was Dead," an art show about persistence. The show is a combination of new works created by long time Oklahoma City artist/designers Lammy Weisman, Mark Gilmore & Reggie Jaime.
All three artists have long histories in the Oklahoma City art community and are returning to active participation with this exhibit, which opens on October 7th during the Paseo's First Friday Gallery Walk.
Lammy Weisman & Reggie Jamie were two of the first artists to have studios on the Paseo & were instrumental in starting the Paseo Arts Festival. Mark Gilmore developed the Classen Art Center and originated the annual erotic shows that still happen in OKC.
The evening’s music will be provided by acoustic guitarist, Milton Trice.
On October 28th starting at 7 p.m. there will be a closing masquerade party with dance performances by Kabaret Falschtanz featuring performance artist Lynna Schneider & Company. Costumes & masks are encouraged.
The Paseo Art Space is open Tuesday-Saturday noon-5pm.
