Indie Rocker Ben Folds to Perform with the Oklahoma City Philharmonic

Oklahoma City - On Thursday, November 3, 2011, at 8:00pm, at the Civic Center Music Hall, the Oklahoma City Philharmonic presents the alternative rock musician Ben Folds.
Singer-songwriter, frontman and pianist, Folds and his trio "Ben Folds Five" built a strong fan base with their witty and engaging music. An expanisve musician, Folds has been performing with symphonies world-wide since 2005 and this year adds the Oklahoma City Philharmonic to that roster. This evening brings together Ben Folds, his amazing piano performance, and the Oklahoma City Philharmonic for "the most sophisticated jam session you'll ever attend." A Folds' symphony performance brings new depth to his music for long-time fans and presents a beautiful mix of pop, folk, indie rock, and orchestra for new fans.
Folds has a special relationship with symphony musicians, having performed with some of the world’s greatest orchestras including repeatedly sold-out nights both at the Kennedy Center with the National Symphony Orchestra and at the Boston Pops with conductor Keith Lockhart, along with several full-house residencies at the Sydney Opera House in Australia.
