KEEPIN’ IT WILD BY KEEPIN’ IT GREEN AT TULSA ZOO
Celebrate Earth Day with Zoo’s “Party for the Planet”
TULSA, OK, April 12, 2011 – Eco-friendly fun will blanket the zoo in “green” as guests learn how to make every day Earth Day at the Tulsa Zoo’s “Party for the Planet”. Celebrate our planet at the Tulsa Zoo with music, green-themed activities for the kids, a Green Market featuring earth-friendly vendors and much more.
Check out “Discovery STOMPS” across the zoo to learn how you can make a difference for animals across the globe, like rhinos and monkeys, by acting locally. Even learn how to make your own compost and how to make recycling a cinch. And don’t forget, we are still celebrating APE-ril, so cruise on down Ape Avenue to do a little monkeying around and test your ape aptitude.
You can also save a little green by being green at Party for the Planet. Bring an old cell phone to recycle and get half off the price of admission the day of Party for the Planet (one discount per phone). Every phone donated not only saves the planet, but also benefits your Tulsa Zoo!
Party for the Planet 2011 will be like no other, so don’t miss this eco-celebration at the wildest place in Tulsa - the Tulsa Zoo!
