MAINSITE Contemporary Art Gallery Seeks Curators
NORMAN, Ok. - The Norman Arts Council seeks curators of all levels for exhibition in MAINSITE Contemporary Art: Home of the Norman Arts Council. Exhibition proposals for the entire 4,000 square foot space or half of the space are now being accepted. Exhibitions run for six to eight weeks are slots are available starting June 8, 2012.
Exhibits at MAINSITE are beautifully complimented by the contemporary space in this renovated historic building. The gallery space can be divided into two to four exhibition spaces with moveable walls. The total exhibition space is 4,000 square feet and features 14 foot cielings, floor to ceiling windows on Main Street, and exhibition lighting. Curators will also have access to a sound system, projection capabilities, staff to assist with installation, and full use of NAC PR and mailing list for the promotion of the exhibit. This opportunity will expand the visibility of the curators and artists featured.
