Miami, Oklahoma – Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2011 – Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College will host an estimated 900 high school seniors during its annual Senior Day on Thursday, February 3.  All area students, parents and high school counselors are invited to learn about NEO’s 43 academic programs, four residence halls and dozens of clubs and organizations, plus recent changes on campus including the Bruce Carter Student Union renovation.  Information regarding financial aid, scholarships, admission, enrollment and campus events will also be available.

There is no cost to attend Senior Day, and all who participate will receive a free lunch and will be eligible for door prizes.

“Senior Day has become a popular annual event, because it offers a one-stop shopping experience for students,” said Coordinator of Student Recruitment Nicole Brown.  “In one location on one day, they learn everything they need to know about NEO, from financial aid to athletics.”

Senior Day will begin at 9:30 a.m. with registration located in the lobbies of the Student Activity Center and the field-house gymnasium.  Students will have the opportunity to visit with faculty advisors and students from various academic departments.  NEO will also host a “Scholarship and Activity Fair,” during which prospective students can gather information about the clubs and organizations present on campus.  In addition, NEO College Ambassadors will offer tours of the campus and its facilities.

Brown said visiting a college campus is vital to a student’s decision on where to enroll.

Pre-registration for Senior Day is encouraged but not mandatory.  To pre-register or for questions regarding the event, call the Student Recruitment Office at (918) 540-6291, or email
