OKLAHOMA CITY – Remington Park waved farewell to 2010, setting another record as 1,756,616 attended throughout the year.


Open every day of the year, Remington Park hosted 116 live race dates in 2010 while featuring casino gaming and simulcast racing for 365 days. The 2010 attendance is an all-time high for Remington Park, surpassing the standard established in 2009 of 1,694,333.


Global Gaming Solutions took official ownership of Remington Park on Jan. 1, 2010 and has quickly enjoyed success with the Oklahoma City entertainment venue. Nearly $15 million in capital improvements have been invested into Remington Park by the first-year owner.


“Our guests have responded to the many positive changes with their patronage,” noted Remington Park president and general manager Scott Wells. “While 2010 was a tremendous year with numerous upgrades to Remington Park, the work continues into the new year with more alterations and new amenities forthcoming.”


The 2010 total marks the sixth consecutive year that Remington Park has enjoyed an increase in attendance. It is also the third straight year that Remington Park has set a new overall attendance record.


Open daily at 10am for casino gaming and simulcast racing, Remington Park also features Henry Hudson’s on the first floor, which opens for lunch at 11am. Admission, general parking and valet parking are always free at Remington Park. 


Live racing returns to Remington Park on March 4, 2011 when the nation’s top American Quarter Horse season gets underway.
