February 28, 2011 – The Stafford Air & Space Museum is hosting a Spring Break Robotics Camp for 6th-9th grade students on March 16 and 17 from 11:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Campers will get to interact with a variety of robotic devices, ranging from small models that cadets will keep to droids that respond to verbal commands.

The camp is designed to introduce kids to the exciting world of Robotics and provides a first look and feel for how Robotics work. This will be a great introduction for students that would like to participate in robotics programs and competitions during middle school or high school.

“We would like to support the growth of the robotics programs in Oklahoma,” said Tami Martyn, Museum Director. “SWOSU hosts the FIRST Tech Challenge state championship for Middle School and High School students and we want to encourage the interest this competition has generated.”

The camp is $35 for each cadet and snacks will be provided. For more information and enrollment forms, please visit www.staffordmuseum.com or contact the Stafford Air & Space Museum at 580-772-5871.
