NORMAN, OKLA. (August 16, 2011) -  “I look forward to the Tee Party to reconnect with old friends and make new ones. And free dinner doesn’t hurt either.” says Tiffany Henley, Studio Art senior.

The University of Oklahoma School of Art and Art History is pleased to welcome new and returning students to thefirst event of the 2011-2012 school year, the third annual Tee Party, happening 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., on Thursday, Aug. 25 in the lobby of the Fred Jones Art Center. This event is free and open to the public; and sponsored by the OU Printmaking Department, the Print Club and the School of Art and Art History.

Students and patrons can look forward to free printmaking demonstrations, pizza and soda and a chance to bring home a custom-printed T-shirt, bag or pillowcase. Feel free to bring an item to beprinted with one of the many designs provided by printmaking students and faculty members. The Print Club will also have a variety of blank t-shirts available for purchase as well as an assortment of pre-printed shirts. All proceeds will benefit the Print Club in their efforts to attend the Southern Graphics Council in the spring and to bring in visiting artists. The Art History Associationwill have an assortment of baked goods for sale to raise money for student travel.
