BARTLESVILLE, OK – Third Thursday takes on a humorous perspective at Price Tower Arts Center on February 17th.  The evening will include a Spanish language tour of the current exhibition, Bruce Goff:  A Creative Mind, and interactive and improvisational comedy.

“We are very pleased to team up with Casa Hispana for a special tour of our exhibition,Bruce Goff:  A Creative Mind.  The tour, with translation provided by Mili Cappelletti, is a great way for us to share what we have with Bartlesville’s Spanish-speaking community,” said Debra Woodall, marketing manager for Price Tower Arts Center.

The exhibition includes approximately 12 short virtual movies, 27 framed copies of renderings or blueprints, four 3-D printed models and a large pod enabling visitors to experience a virtual tour of Goff’s architectural designs.

Bruce Goff:  A Creative Mind gives people a chance to see what could have been and, in some cases, what is in danger of being forgotten.  All of the works in this exhibition were never realized or have been demolished, with the exception of the Bavinger House.  I think people will feel a sense of wonderment as they see the interesting means of fabrication and construction conceived by Goff,” said Price Tower Arts Center Curator Scott W. Perkins.

“Audience participation is a must when The Comedy Clinic entertains.  On Thursday night, guests will enjoy improvisational games and original sketch material. And, the comedians assure us they will keep everything PG-13,” said Darbi Kinkaid, event coordinator for Price Tower Arts Center.

Sponsors for Bruce Goff:  A Creative Mind include ConocoPhillips, the National Endowment for the Arts, the Oklahoma Arts Council and Furthermore:  a program of the J.M. Kaplan Fund.
