Federal Judicial Learning Center & Museum
Federal Judicial Learning Center & Museum
Located in the historic U.S. Post Office and Courthouse - the first federal building constructed in Oklahoma, built in 1912 - the Federal Judicial Learning Center and Museum invites visitors to explore the rich history of the federal courts in Oklahoma. Step into the very courtrooms where some of the state’s most dramatic trials took place, including the 1933 Machine Gun Kelly kidnapping case and the 1926 Osage Reign of Terror trials - cases that helped shape federal criminal law and contributed to the birth of the FBI.
Interactive exhibits, historical artifacts, and guided tours bring stories of justice to life. Visitors can meet U.S. federal judges, U.S. Marshals, and court staff, observe live court proceedings, and take part in civics education programs designed for students and the public. Through exhibits and outreach, the museum highlights the ongoing role of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma in both state and national history.
