Lyric Theatre presents: Mother Road
Go on a journey with the Lyric Theater of Oklahoma's production of "Mother Road" this April. Inspired by John Steinbeck's "The Grapes of Wrath," this musical follows two descendants of the original Joads as they travel from California back to Oklahoma. William Joad has recently discovered an unexpected relation, Martín Joad, a young Mexican American man who is a descendent from Steinbeck's original protagonist Tom Joad. Written by playwright Octavio Solis, this musical tells the story of the pair's bond with a backdrop of folk-inspired music and poetry.
