Located in downtown Medicine Park, the Old Plantation Restaurant serves up plenty of charm alongside its legendary food. One step into this grand, three-story building will transport you back in time as you browse through the historic Medicine Park photos lining the wall. The original reception desk from when the restaurant was named the Grand Hotel remains, as well as a gift shop and the original Tap Room bar complete with beer, wine and spirits.
The Old Plantation Restaurant was originally built in 1910 and fully restored in 2008. It now features beautiful wood floors and an exposed industrial vent ceiling. Take a seat in a comfortable booth or chairs where you'll be served a delicious variety of steaks, burgers and seafood. Start your meal off with an order of loaded fries, one pound of thick cut steak fries smothered with cheddar cheese and topped with bacon bits and chives. With so many choices, you may want to order the Old Plantation sampler, which comes with two egg rolls and four each of cheese sticks, buffalo wings, beer battered mushrooms and pickle-o's. For your entree, select a steak cut and sized to your desire. Each of the steaks are cut daily and cooked over an open flame. All steak dinners are served with a fresh salad, buttery rolls and your choice of side.
Save room for delicious dessert like the homemade chocolate or coconut creme pie topped with whipped cream. Old Plantation Restaurant also offers a rotating cobbler of the day topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

I had dinner there on 4/22/2011 with my son sgt. Justin Mcnealy,wife Genva,Baby. I have had many years of food service, but the little blonde waitress we had was 1st. class in every way. Wish I had got her name,if so this comment would be her.She will probably remember this I asked her if the steaks were keep in a hot box to age them but she was definely confused. All the food items were perfect.
I was born in Lawton in 1947. I grew up running around Medicine Park and surrounding mountain area. I remember as a young boy the roller rink and the old wood slide that ran to the creeks edge. I left Lawton in 1967 and my last trip there and to Medicine Park was over 12 years ago. I will be returning in July and look forward to seeing all the changes.
