American Horse Lake
Facilities at American Horse Lake near Geary include a boat ramp, picnic tables, a water well and primitive campsites. No other facilities are available. The lake supports an abundant population of good-sized bluegill and catchable size largemouth bass. Shoreline length is seven miles and the lake covers 100 surface acres. American Horse Lake is operated by the Oklahoma Wildlife Department.
A conservation passport is required of all individuals, residents and nonresidents who enter Department owned lands, unless exempt. Exemptions include persons who possess an annual hunting, fishing or combination license; a lifetime hunting, fishing, or combination license; senior citizen lifetime hunting, fishing, or combination license; disability hunting or fishing license; and residents under age 18.
