Copan Lake is a multi-purpose flood control lake featuring approximately 5,000 surface acres of water. Copan Point is the lake's day use area. This park offers a designated beach area, beautiful picnic sites overlooking the water, and a nicely constructed boat launching ramp. Enjoy fishing opportunities for largemouth bass, white crappie, channel and flathead catfish. Two campgrounds are available for tents and RVs. There is a fee for use of the boat launch and swimming fees may apply. Some areas are open seasonally. Copan Lake is operated by the U.S. Corps of Engineers.

Washington Cove Campground gates are locked from 10pm to 6am daily. Post Oak Campground is open 24/7.

Day use fees (not applicable to campers):

Bus/commercial vehicle: $20

There are no day use fees for children under 16.
