Get ready for a day of fun out on Lake Hefner in Oklahoma City with kiteboarding lessons from Nate's Kiteboarding University. Learn how to harness the power of the wind to propel yourself across the water. First, learn how to handle the kites on land with a trainer kite, and practice on a mountainboard to get the feel of being on a kiteboard. Then, get out on the water for some real action. You'll have a full-size kite to work with, as well as a kiteboard. Once you learn how to maneuver the equipment, you'll surf the waters of Lake Hefner with ease. Nate's Kiteboarding gives lessons seasonally, on days when winds are over 15 mph. Visitors can also buy used kites and equipment here.
