Come to Fairview's Major County Historical Threshing Bee & Two-Cylinder Show, an annual celebration of pioneer farm life with demonstrations using authentic farming equipment. Witness grain milling, threshing of wheat bundles, rope-making, corn shelling, plowing, broom-making, sawmilling and more. Enjoy a gas and steam engine show, antique car and truck show, antique farm equipment show, arts and crafts, food booths, musical entertainment, special children's events, tours of museum facilities and more.

Take a walk into the past with relics and antiques from the 1890s in the Specht Museums, or experience the train depot, pioneer school, church and a fully furnished 1890s home. There will also be a Civil War cannon and anvil shoot on-site as well as a land run reenactment.

The Two-Cylinder Show will feature the John Deere Model D tractors from 1923 to 1953. This unique show includes tractor games, a tractor pull, plowing, baling, threshing, binding and corn shelling. Enjoy your favorite festival foods with an old-fashioned twist like barbecue, hamburgers, snow cones, funnel cakes and sarsaparilla. Re-enactors and blacksmiths will be on-hand to ensure history comes alive. A Sunday morning service will also be held at the old Pioneer Church.
