Description

Frontier City, Oklahoma's only Western-themed amusement park, has been a favorite Oklahoma City destination for over 50 years.  Featuring rides for all ages, live entertainment and delicious food options, visitors are guaranteed to find something to do at Frontier City.  Thrill seekers can test the boundaries of gravity on looping roller coasters like the Silver Bullet and the Diamond Back or on the Wildcat, a more traditional coaster.  The Hangman catapults riders almost 100 feet, and if that's not high enough, Eruption, the tallest ride in Oklahoma, sends riders over 240 feet into the air.

Family-friendly rides, water rides and live shows straight out of the Wild West are great attractions for those who want to stay closer to the ground. The Steel Lasso is Oklahoma's only suspended family coaster, and a train ride around the park on the Ol' 89er Express is old-fashioned fun for everyone.  Check out the view of Oklahoma City from the top of the gondola-style Ferris wheel, the Grand Centennial, or take a leisurely ride on the Grand Carousel.  On a hot day, cool off with a ride on the Mystery River Log Flume or Renegade Rapids, both guaranteed to make a big splash.

Frontier City's live entertainment recreates the feel of the Wild West.  From action-packed shootouts to saloon shows and musicals, visitors are transported back in time.  For a more modern show, each summer Frontier City holds a concert series, and every concert is free with park admission.

Frontier City also features rides tailored to the youngest of visitors.  Among those rides are a miniature roller coaster, the Wild Kitty and a miniature train, the Rio Grande.  Parents can join in the fun at Paul Bunyan's Buzzsaw Co., an interactive foam factory featuring gadgets and lots of activities.  Children can paddle around in a canoe on a lazy river on the Tippecanoe and can see animals up close at the petting zoo.

No one could have a fun-filled day without refueling with lunch or a snack, and Frontier City has many different food and drink options available to visitors.  Most of the dining options are Western-themed and many have indoor seating.  Visit a Frontier City gift shop for a souvenir, to always keep your memories of the day close. Groups of all sizes are welcome and can be accommodated with reservations.
