Gateway to the Panhandle Museum
Gateway to the Panhandle Museum in Gate is housed in the old MKT Railroad depot building. Visitors to this museum and library will find a collection of military items, farm equipment, railroad artifacts from the Katy Railroad, antique cradles, horse drawn machinery and some Civil War items. A school house on the museum grounds is listed on the National Register, and a mural of the train arriving in Gate is painted on the front of the building.
