John, your best bet for scuba diving in Oklahoma is at Tenkiller Lake. At Tenkiller State Park, there is a completely sectioned off area where you can see sunken attractions, and unless there has been a recent storm the visibility is usually pretty good. For more information about scuba diving at Lake Tenkiller, we encourage you to call Nautical Adventures Scuba in Cookson at 918-457-3483. Have a great day and thank you for using TravelOK.com!

From James William Wilson on 08/08/10

Back in mid '70s. My grandparents built a house in a subdivision called Leisure Heights just off one of the fingers of Lake Eufaula just east of US Hwy 69. During the summertime, I knew when it was time to take that long 13 hour trip from Northern Illinois to go see my grandmother down at the lake. In 2005, when Grandma Cora past away. The Wilson family drove down from Ft. Gibson National Cemetery back to the lake. We got to the house, were thinking about the great times we had, and we just started hugging each other and crying. As for me, I remember all of the great memories at the house, and on lake when I was growing up. I would like to come back, and maybe take my future girlfriend down here sometime. Let her experience on how beautiful and peaceful it can be.
