Paseo Arts District

The historic Paseo Arts District was built in 1929 as the first shopping district north of downtown and is the oldest arts district community in Oklahoma City.  This curved, two block long street has the feel of a little Spanish village with its stucco buildings and clay tile roofs. The historic Paseo Arts District was built in 1929 as the first shopping district north of downtown and is the oldest arts district community in Oklahoma City.  This curved, two block long street has the feel of a little Spanish village with its stucco buildings and clay tile roofs. Today a vibrant group of artists continues to build the Paseo Arts District into one of the most creative art venues around.  The Paseo is home to 17 galleries and more than 60 artists, all within walking distance.  Intermingled with the galleries along tree-lined streets are fabulous restaurants, a coffee house, clothing boutique, gift shop, yoga studio and graphic arts studio. 

The First Friday Gallery Walk occurs every month.  Friday night visitors to the Paseo Arts District enjoy art openings, wine tastings and live music. On Saturdays guests can see artists at work giving live demonstrations.

The Paseo is also home to the Paseo Arts Festival held every year during Memorial Day weekend. The Paseo Arts Festival is a showcase for the original works of visual artists selected by jury, along with performance art and live music.
