The Salas family has been serving tacos and enchiladas to hungry Lawton residents for more than 50 years, the last 39 at this existing restaurant, which has become a local landmark with its unique, glassed-in kitchen. A lot of things have changed over those five decades, but not the quality of the food. The Barbacoa – tender, braised top sirloin served with corn tortillas and charro beans – is a local favorite, along with the Red, White and Green Enchiladas for those who can’t decide which sauce is best. Afterward, dig into the Chocolate Dream Xtreme, a slab of layered, rich chocolate cake with chocolate cream cheese frosting and fresh raspberry sauce.
