Celebrate Oklahoma’s Western heritage at the Stockyards Stampede in Oklahoma City. Located in the historic Stockyards City district, the event features a procession of longhorns, chuckwagon cooking and live music. The festival starts with longhorns beginning at the iconic National Stockyards archway. Afterwards, sample cobbler, stew, cornbread and more while shopping locally-made wares from the Made in Oklahoma Market.
Before the day is over, gather around the Corral Stage to watch the live entertainment and the Little Ms. and Mr. Stockyards pageant. This pageant features several little cowboys and cowgirls all competing for the title. Before you head home, be sure to check out the several shops and restaurants around Stockyards City. Don’t miss this lively celebration of Oklahoma’s Western heritage.
