Celebrate Independence Day in Collinsville with a variety of exciting activities for all ages. The Collinsville Independence Day Celebration will kick off at 9am with an old-fashioned parade down Main Street. Line the parade route in red, white and blue, waving mini versions of old glory as the parade floats go by. Kids can even decorate their bikes and join in on the parade fun.
After the parade, the festivities will move over to the Collinsville City Park you'll find food trucks galore, face painting, the annual turtle races, watermelon seed spitting contest and many more fun family activities. The traditional Independence Day Celebration Turtle Races will take place at 4:30pm at the Turtle Area near the Volleyball Courts. The Collinsville Masonic Lodge #165 will be hosting a Horseshoe Tournament in the evening, so practice your pitch to be named the Independence Day Celebration Horseshoe Champion. When the sun goes down, enjoy a marvelous fireworks display choreographed to the sound of patriotic music.
