Experience the collective histories of 39 distinctive First American Nations in Oklahoma with a visit to the First Americans Museum in Oklahoma City. A starting point to explore First American attractions throughout Oklahoma, the museum is located along the Oklahoma River near downtown. The 40-acre museum campus features over 25,000 square feet award-winning exhibitions, educational programs, a restaurant offering indigenous cuisine and store stocked with unique Native American-inspired products. Since opening in 2021, the FAM has hosted visitors from across America and around the world. 

The signature exhibition at the FAM, Okla Homma, gives voice to the diverse stories of tribes in Oklahoma today. Visitors can learn more about the rich cultural diversity, history and contributions of the First Americans through a wide variety of exhibitions. Explore works of art, interact with media and film, and more as you connect with history through sight, sound and touch. 

Step inside a magical pop-up book world that is playful, fun and safe for all ages in the FAMily Discovery Center. Combining hands-on activities, physical challenges and media-rich interactive displays, this area offers an experience for all ages and abilities to connect. In the Xchange Theater, a 75-seat venue and gathering space, guests can watch live demonstrations, performances and video presentations. Catch a special evening event in the Hall of the People or the 200-seat FAM Theater.

Nestled between the FAMily Discovery Center and the theatre, the FAM Café and Coffee Shop offers convenient food items along with specialty coffees and teas served in a family-friendly environment. Stop by the cafe and coffee shop or indulge in a sit-down meal at Thirty Nine Restaurant for an authentic taste of Indigenous-inspired cuisine. Don't forget to visit the FAMstore for items made by Oklahoma Native artists, signature wear and a variety of Native-produced goods on your excursion to this one-of-a-kind museum in Oklahoma City.
