Located just past Exit 1 on Highway 69/75 on the Oklahoma-Texas border, the Choctaw Welcome Center is the perfect place for weary travelers to stop and stretch their legs. Operated by the Choctaw Nation, this welcome center also displays various Native American and Made in Oklahoma art. Outside, visitors will see displays of the Choctaw traditional winter home, called an "Alaksha," as well as a dog park. A message tree, which was once used for communication in the area, is also on display with a plaque about its history.

Another impressive aspect of the center is a display of 45 tribal flags standing outside. Pick up hundreds of free brochures and visitor guides, browse the retail store for unique products or consult a trained staff member to help you plan your trip through Oklahoma. The Choctaw Nation Welcome Center offers a lounge area, vending machines, clean restrooms and free coffee.
