NSU Playhouse
The NSU Sequoyah Institute Playhouse, named after the creator of the Cherokee alphabet Sequoyah, works to develop and foster student's passion for the arts outside of the classroom. The Sequoyah Institute offers several events throughout the year in order to unite the community in the arts. Two of the Sequoyah Institute's programs are the Galaxy of Stars and Stars in the Summer. Galaxy of Stars brings national and international artists to the community where they will perform. Beyond the Stage is another outreach program that offers workshops, classes and lectures to interested parties. The Stars in the Summer event offers weekend events all summer long where guests can visit the NSU Campus in Tahlequah and listen to country, pop and rock and roll.
