Bring the family and enjoy the annual Sallisaw Lion's Club Rodeo, an event that consistently draws over 5,000 people each year. This IPRA championship rodeo showcases some of the county's elite athletes in rodeo competition. Witness as talented cowboys and cowgirls compete for thousands of dollars in prize money in bareback bronc riding, saddle bronc riding, barrel racing, tie-down roping, steer wrestling and bull riding. As an added bonus, the Sallisaw Lion's Club Rodeo will also feature a handful of non-traditional rodeo events. Secure your spot in the stands and cheer as contestants compete in events such as wild cow milking, mutton bustin' and a calf scramble.
Attend the Sallisaw Lion's Club Rodeo and enjoy the annual parade, the street dance featuring lively Western music you can tap your toes to and the spectacle of rodeo royalty making their grand entrance into the arena. Rodeo clowns will be on-hand to entertain the crowds and to protect the rodeo contestants. Enjoy watching the hilarious antics of the clowns while marveling at the award-winning stock provided by Hampton Rodeo Company. Professional announcers will also be on-hand to call every second of activity at this year's Sallisaw Lion's Club Rodeo, so make your way to Sallisaw and enjoy the excitement of rodeo action firsthand.
