Located within Oklahoma's largest state park, the Lake Murray State Park Trail System offers 10 miles of trails perfect for novice hikers and mountain bikers, including a one-mile Heart Healthy Trail from the lodge and cabin area to the park office and fishing pier.

For longer hiking options, begin at the Pecan Grove Day-Use Area, and follow the wooden bridge over a lake offshoot scattered with lily pads. This will be the first of many bridges you'll encounter. Continue your trek south until you come to a boat ramp. Cross the paved road and continue walking to your right. The next intersection will allow you to go left or right. You'll follow the trail to the right and continue heading generally south.

The next portion of the trail is the most difficult, as the trail begins to get rocky between Dukes Forest Campground and the rock dam bridge. Bikers will have the opportunity to test their bravery with small ramps and jumps, or they can remain on the foot path. The next bridge you reach will provide a great place to rest, as there is a small waterfall nearby. From here, return on the path you came down or continue south to the Buckhorn Interpretive Trail. Both the Anadarche and Buckhorn Trails are clearly marked
