Celebrate the days of the Old West during the heyday of the Chisholm Trail at the Heroes & History Celebration in downtown Minco.  Make your way to this family-oriented event to see a re-enacted cowboy shootout and cattle drive and participate in the lineup of activities.  Play a game of horseshoes or enter the best whisker/moustache contest, then browse Western-themed vendor booths, as well as vendors displaying handmade arts and crafts. 

Prizes will be given away all day during the Heroes & History Celebration.  Kids can participate in games to win real horseshoes and quilted ornaments, and pony rides will be available.  Close out the day with a chili dinner with peach cobbler, and make sure to stick around for a concert by R.W. Hampton.
