Wild West Days & Mangum Mountie Rodeo
Come to Wild West Days & Mangum Mountie Rodeo and enjoy festivities that include an antique quilt show, pioneer reunion, fiddler contest, chuckwagon breakfast, art show, art sale, parade, barbecue and more. Witness re-enactments of gunfights on the main streets of Mangum and stick around for a thrilling rodeo, held both nights of the festival. Mangum's Wild West Days will be held on Saturday, while the Mangum Mountie Rodeo will be held Friday and Saturday evenings.
Enjoy two nights of rodeo excitement and witness local cowboys and cowgirls, as well as those from various states, compete for cash prizes in events such as bareback, saddle bronc and breakaway riding. Other events at this annual rodeo include calf roping, steer wrestling, barrel racing, bull riding and team roping. Enjoy heart-pumping action as cowboys and cowgirls compete for championship titles while showing off precise cowboy techniques and showmanship in timed events.
This rodeo will also feature a variety of rodeo events for children including mutton bustin,' steer riding and calf riding. Each night there will also be donkey riding for the little ones, plus a calf scramble. The rodeo arena will also be offering concessions in the form of cold drinks, hamburgers, brisket sandwiches and homemade ice cream. Make your way to Mangum's courthouse lawn on Saturday morning for a chuckwagon breakfast, fiddling contest, arts and crafts show, quilt show and a barbecue feast.
