Magic Lantern Celebration on Paseo
The most recent event date has passed. Check back for updates.
Bring the entire family to the Magic Lantern Celebration on Paseo for a fall extravaganza inspired by pumpkins. Children are encouraged to come to Oklahoma City's Paseo Arts District in everyday clothing and then make their own original costumes and lanterns. During the Magic Lantern Celebration, galleries turn into "play shops" where paper, pumpkins, shine and glitz await to inspire works of art and wishes that will float like bubbles. Children go from studio to studio, using their creativity to build their costumes. As dusk descends, musician Steven McLinn will kick off the costume dance parade with original Ojas Music tunes, as dancers lead the kids along the painted Jack 'O Lantern Labyrinth in a spiral pattern .
