Get ready for hours of fun out on windy Lake Hefner, in Oklahoma City with kiteboarding lessons from Nate's Kiteboarding University. Learn how to harness the power of the wind to propel yourself across the water without a boat. First, you'll learn how to handle the kite on land with a trainer kite, and you can even practice on a mountainboard if you want to get the feel of being on a kiteboard.
After that, prepare to get out on the water for the real fun. You'll have a full-size 6-9 meter Inflatable Leading Edge kite to work with, as well as a kiteboard. Once you learn how to maneuver the equipment, you can learn to surf the waters of Lake Hefner with ease. Nate's Kiteboarding University gives lessons seasonally, on days when winds are over 15 mph. Visitors can also buy used/demo kites and equipment here.
