Explore the Outdoors - A Day in the Park
Oklahoma State Parks and OETA public television are teaming up together to “Explore the Outdoors” at Roman Nose State Park near Watonga. This free outdoor event will be a fun educational experience for the whole family, featuring learning stations where children ages 4-8 can participate in hands-on activities. Topics at the learning stations include math, science, nature and active play. In addition, guided nature walks will be available for parents and children of all ages. Pack a picnic basket, wear comfortable shoes and bring plenty of water to make your “Day in the Park” a fun-filled outdoor adventure! In the event of inclement weather, indoor facilities will be available.
Pre-registration begins on-site at 9:00am. Activities begin at 10:00am and are expected to last until approximately 2:30pm. Families are encouraged to stay for the remainder of the day and discover the natural beauty of Roman Nose State Park.
