From 10:30am-12pm, enjoy a healthy outdoor adventure with a tranquil 2-mile wilderness walk through the foothills of the Wichita Mountain range. The unique rock formations along the hike make the perfect backdrop for photos.

The walk begins at Otter Creek Campground with yoga stretches and warm-ups. At the end of the hike, buses will transfer participants back to the Otter Creek Campground where exhibits featuring options for a healthy family lifestyle will be displayed, along health professionals available to answer your questions.

The Kiowa County Health Dept. will have vegetable-based temporary tattoos, featuring vegetable characters, for younger family members. Bottled water and healthy lifestyle information booths are sponsored by the LIVE! Coalition and sponsors.

From 1-2:30pm, enjoy the picturesque view as you stroll the paved road along the channel of the Tom Steed Reservoir to the Mountain Park Project Dam (spillway). Capture the moment with loved ones and friends with mesmerizing nature photos. An interpretation of the reservoir’s history and purpose will enlighten the adventure. The hikes are free for family members of all ages.
