The Rural Oklahoma Museum of Poetry is a humble, yet empowering little place for poetry. The mission of the Rural Oklahoma Museum of Poetry is to bring poetry and people together, to encourage wordplay and literacy and to provide a space where everyone can have an experience of poetry. Open everyday from dawn to dusk, this museum displays rotating exhibits focused on exploring creativity through words.

ROMP is located two miles west of Locust Grove, but in downtown Locust Grove, you can also visit the ROMP Rummage Store, a thrift store that funds the  museum and its work. ROMP Rummage also has a poetry museum annex inside it and is open 10-4pm, Wednesday-Saturday.
