Travel to southwest Oklahoma to see visible remains of the famed Chisholm Trail etched by the hooves of cattle. The famous Chisholm Trail ferried millions of cattle along the famous cattle drive from Texas ranches to Kansas railheads after the Civil War. Schedule a group tour with a historian for groups of 15 or more at the Chisholm Trail Heritage Center in Duncan, or pick up a map at the museum for a self-guided tour. Visitors will also see Monument Hill, a natural landmark that served as a waypoint for trailhands.
