Scotfest Burns Night
Don your kilt, penguin suit or fine evening gown to celebrate the life and writing of late Scottish bard Robert “Rabbie” Burns with fellow lovers of poetry on Scotfest Burns Night. Considered the national poet of Scotland, Burns’ works are narratives of farm life, religion, culture and class. Burns was born on January 25, 1759 and tribute is paid to him on this day every year. The evening will feature performances by the Tulsa Metro Pipe Band, Tullamore, Highland Dance by the Ladymon School of Scottish Dance, readings of Burns’ writings, ceilidh dancing and more. Make plans to join the festivities.
