Spring Break Science Camp
17131 Park 10
Sequoyah State Park is pleased to offer you and your child a special opportunity this spring break. Every day from March 12-19, the park nature center and surrounding forest will serve as classrooms for fun activities that promote science learning.
The science camp is for children who are in kindergarten through fifth grades. The camp is also family-focused, as a parent or adult guardian must accompany their child or children through the day's activities.
With an emphasis on fun, each activity addresses a science learning objective as identified by Oklahoma's State Department of Education. Children participate in activities that are age-appropriate. Kindergarten through second grade children will engage in activities that are different than those offered to children in third through fifth grade. Activities are organized into two-day sets and are repeated beginning every third day.
Each registered child will receive a day pack, a nifty journal book and a 3X magnifier. Children will use these items as part of their nature study activities. Registration also includes morning and afternoon snacks with beverages. No lunch is provided, but there is a one hour lunch break.
To ensure quality instruction, no more than 30 children can participate each day. Therefore, it's important to reserve a science camp slot by emailing either Amy.Nickel@travelok.com or Tom.Creider@travelok.com. Be sure to include the date or dates for your registration, as well as the number of children you are registering and their ages. Registration payment is to be made upon your arrival and check in at Sequoyah Lodge. No refunds of registration payments.
For each additional child: $20 (daily) While every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of the pricing listed above, prices are subject to change without notice.
