Salt-n-Pepa in Concert
951 W 36th St N
Cruise back to the days of early hip-hop when Salt-n-Pepa take over the Osage Casino in Tulsa.
In 1985 early rap pioneers Salt-n-Pepa burst on the scene with a dis record leveled at Doug E. Fresh and Slick Rick. Riding the strength of this underground hit, Cheryl “Salt” James and Sandy “Pepa” Denton, coworkers from Queens, NY, along with their all-female rap crew, tore apart the glass ceiling in hip-hop, blazing the trail for the next generation of female rappers. Over the next decade, the duo released a string of anthemic hits, including “My Mic Sounds Nice,” “Shoop,” “Whatta Man” and “Push It.”
Longtime band member and producer DJ Spinderella returns for turntable duty, laying down the band's classic beats on this tour.
