The Eagles of Death Metal in Concert
Head to Tulsa for a night of full throttle rock swagger when the Eagles of Death Metal take over Cain’s Ballroom.
Lifelong friends Jesse Hughes and Queens of the Stone Age front man Josh Homme played soccer together in high school. After Hughes went through a nasty divorce, the duo started jamming together as a musical outlet. The classic garage sound they were honing took a back burner as Queens of the Stone Age took the rock world by storm, but word of Hommes side project started garnering interest among his fans and the Eagles of Death Metal made their official debut. The pair has continued to collaborate, releasing garage driven, irony tinged fan favorites like “Cherry Cola,” “I Want You So Hard,” “Wannabe in LA” and “Don’t Speak (I Came to Make a Bang).”
Be sure to catch Toronto’s own The Beaches on opening duties. This formidable group of young ladies is making fierce garage rock that’s heavily dosed by The White Stripes and Patti Smith.
