Chisholm Trail 150 Festival
Head to Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center in Enid to celebrate the 150th annivesary of the Chisholm Trail. Gather inside the Humphrey Heritage Village for good music, as well as Chisholm Trail-related games the kids can enjoy. Family-friendly activities include pony rides and square dancing. Guests can also learn more about the Chisholm Trail by listening to historic characters tell tales and taking tours of the historic buildings onsite. Visitors can even channel their inner cattle driver with a beans and cornbread lunch served over an open fire. As an added bonus, at 1pm, Joseph McCoy will make a presentation in the historic church, convincing guests to drive their cattle to Abilene.
