Want to see cutting-edge work from young, regional artists? Come to the Hallie Brown Ford Fine Arts Center in Ada for the Momentum Ada Film & New Media Festival. The event is an offshoot of Momentum OKC, Oklahoma's premier art show for creatives under 30, and will feature spotlight artists Julius the Robot and Laurence Myers Reese alongside a survey selection of some of the most innovative young artists in the region.
Experience film, performance, new media, installations and more at this fun and free event highlighting the work of young artists. Presented as a partnership between the Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition and East Central University, the Momentum Ada Film & New Media Festival helps innovative young artists gain experience and meet new audiences in a venue designed specifically for their creations.
The festivities kick off with a special, ticketed keynote presentation from legendary filmmaker and author, John Waters. Come experience "This Filthy World," a rapid-fire, one-man show from the mind behind cult films like "Pink Flamingos" and "Serial Mom," as well as breakthrough hit movies like "Hairspray" and "Crybaby." All are welcome at the Momentum Ada Film & New Media Festival, but discretion is advised as some content may not be suitable for children.
