150 Years of the Chisholm Trail
Celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Chisholm Trail in Waurika. Held at the historic Rock Island Depot, this event corresponds with the opening of the Smithsonian's Museum on Main Street's traveling exhibit, "How America Worked."
The day's events will include a melodrama featuring local actors, exhibits of what farming equipment was like in the 1920s and 1930s, antique tractors from across the region, area musicians, kids games and a working chuck wagon display with cowboy goulash available for purchase. Come out and see what life was like on the Chisholm Trail as well as get a glimpse into work across America and in Waurika in the 1900s.
