Oklahoma Shakespeare in the Park Presents: The Revolutionists
Oklahoma Shakespeare in the Park Presents: The Revolutionists
Head to OKC’s Paseo District as Oklahoma Shakespeare brings Lauren Gunderson's The Revolutionists to life on their home stage.
This brutal comedic quartet tells the story of four very real women who lived boldly during the French Revolution's Reign of Terror. Follow along as Playwright Olympe De Gouge, assassin Charlotte Corday, former queen Marie Antoinette and Haitian rebel Marianne Angelle hang out and lose their heads while trying to navigate the extremist insanity of revolutionary Paris. This grand and dream-tweaked comedy weaves together a compelling tale of violence, legacy, feminism, terrorism, art and how we actually go about changing the world.
Primarily known for their summer series, Oklahoma Shakespeare also actively produces plays and stage readings year round all over the Oklahoma City metro.
