Attend the Summer Solstice Block Party to celebrate the shortest nights of the year and official first days of summer with festivities found in the Automobile Alley Entertainment District. Anchored at the Mix-Tape at the WOMB Gallery, all of 9th Street will come together with creative contests, free activities and live entertainment. All weekend long, dress in your best glow-in-the-dark gear in the hopes of taking home top prizes from local retailers.

Friday evening's Solstice Street Party features the March of the Sun King, a psychedelic celebration of the Solstice set to the music of The Beatles' Abbey Road. A Pride Weekend Kick-Off will follow as Carte Blanche DJs amp up the energy in the Automobile Alley Entertainment District. All ages are invited to borrow a set of roller skates to explore 9th Street more fully while witnessing live painting and projection art. For extra fun, consider purchasing Aura Photography and Wondervan Pops.

Attend the Saturday Celebration, which centers on the Future of Sound Sessions showcase, featuring local artists Lincka and L.T.Z. The creative arts will continue with more free outdoor roller skating, live painting and projection art. Special additions on Saturday include giant spin art, GLOW alley body painting, the Blacklight Runway and Poetry & Chill OKC's on-the-spot written works. Guests can also purchase Wondervan Pops.

For the grand finale of the Summer Solstice Block Party, make plans to attend Sunday, the official Family Fun Day. Held in the afternoon, this special day starts with morning yoga at 11am, followed by more outdoor roller skating, art activities and an MVP Photo Booth. For bonus fun, indulge in all-ages add-ons like tie-dye, face painting and henna before cooling off with Wondervan Pops and Upbeat Treats.
