Located in Oklahoma City's Britton District, El Coyote is inspired by Chef Jonathan Stranger's love of Santa Fe – such as spicy chiles and refreshing, specialty margaritas. Every ingredient used is authentically sourced from New Mexico, allowing each dish to shine with unique flavors.
From green chile queso and posole to red chile rib tips or beef quesadillas, you'll want to savor an array of El Coyote's starters. Don't forget to order a Red Chile-Honey Mezcal Old Fashioned or a Devil's Canyon margarita – a green chile and strawberry-infused tequila blanco concoction with triple sec, fresh lime juice and a tajin rim – before moving on to the main event.
Entrees range from house-made tacos on organic blue corn tortillas to stacked enchilada plates, stuffed sopapillas, roasted mushroom chile relleno or a 10oz adovada steak. All meals are served with coyote beans, hominy, and your choice of red, green, or Christmas-style chile sauce.
If you've managed to save room for dessert, choose between three decadent options – key lime pie, a sopapilla sundae topped with pistachio, or a Mexican hot chocolate cake – a bake of red chile chocolate, cinnamon and milk chocolate ganache.
Whether you're stopping by for lunch, dinner or weekend brunch, guests can dine inside the beautifully-designed, stucco-clad building or outside on the spacious, welcoming patio.
