Beaver is home to one of the nation's most unusual competitions, the annual Cow Chip Throwing Contest held the third weekend in April each year.  Come see dozens of folks flinging "Cow Patty Pies" during the contest.  Also enjoy Beaver Dunes Park, featuring 300 acres of sand hills for dune buggy and ATV riding.  Fly over the sand dunes on an exhilarating dune buggy ride, fish or take a relaxing hike.  Stop by the Jones & Plummer Museum, located at the Beaver County Fairgrounds, or check out the many locally owned businesses in the community.  Play a round of golf on the nearby 9-hole golf course or marvel at the size of the town's mascot, "Big Beaver."
