Penny Hill Deli Bar & Char in Norman has been serving the Sooner state since 1981. Although this long-time establishment is best known for its subs, salads and soups, it recently revamped its menu to include a vast array of new entrees. Take a seat inside this cozy space decorated with OU memorabilia, and see for yourself why it was voted by Norman Transcript readers as "The Best Deli in Norman" for nearly the past decade.
One of Penny Hill's most popular subs is the classic Italian with black forest ham, cotto salami, capicola ham, pepperoni and provolone cheese. Another delicious choice, however, is the tuna salad, which is made with fresh albacore tuna, mayonnaise, salt, pepper, lettuce and tomato. Grilled sandwiches, hot dogs, Frito chili pies, baked potatoes and French bread pizza are also available, as well as burgers, sirloin steak, ham loaf, meatloaf and Mexican food favorites like tamales and fajitas.
