Tulsa Symphony Orchestra
The Tulsa Symphony Orchestra (TSO) was born in October 2005 when a plan was conceived for a new model of orchestral governance and musician involvement. TSO’s innovative mission focused on a musician-led structure that encouraged and promoted musician investment and engagement coupled with extensive community service to build an indispensable role for the orchestra in the Tulsa community.
Currently, TSO offers an annual September-May season of performances ranging from intimate chamber music to grand symphonies featuring classical greats like Mozart. Thriving on collaboration, audiences can expect unique orchestra shows pairing contemporary genres with orchestral accompaniments, such as pop group Hanson with TSO musicians. Always striving to serve the Tulsa community, TSO seasons include the series Symphony in the Park. This free initiative brings classical music to all ages and demographics in a relaxed outdoor atmosphere.
From pop culture showcases to inspiring historical pieces, there is a show to suit all tastes at TSO. Stay current on the symphony's diverse seasonal roster and you're sure to discover an unforgettable performance.
